VTX Proprietary Licence VTX-PROP · Version 1.0 · 29 June 2026 Preamble The VTX Proprietary Licence (VTX-PROP) is a restrictive, all-rights-reserved licence designed for publishers who wish to retain full and exclusive control over their software. Under this licence, no permissions are granted to any third party to access, use, copy, modify, distribute, or otherwise interact with the licensed software without explicit written consent from the copyright holder. This licence is appropriate for commercial software, closed-source tools, and any project where the author wishes to protect their intellectual property entirely. It provides the maximum level of legal protection available under this registry. Publishers choosing this licence acknowledge that all users, downloaders, and viewers of the repository are bound by its terms and that no implied licence or permission arises from access alone. Copyright Notice Copyright (c) 2026 — Original Publisher, distributed via VTX Games (vtxgames.co.uk). All rights reserved. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of this software, in whole or in part, is strictly prohibited. Definitions "Software" refers to all source code, compiled binaries, assets, documentation, configuration files, and any other files contained within or distributed alongside the licensed repository. "Publisher" refers to the original author or rights holder who has applied this licence to their software. "User" refers to any individual or organisation that accesses, views, downloads, or otherwise interacts with the software. "Distribution" refers to any act of providing, sharing, publishing, or otherwise making the software available to a third party. Grant of Rights No rights are granted under this licence. The publisher reserves all rights to the software, including but not limited to the rights to reproduce, distribute, sublicense, modify, adapt, display, perform, or create derivative works. This licence does not constitute a transfer of ownership, an implied licence, or a waiver of any intellectual property rights held by the publisher. Access to the software via any public or private repository does not grant the user any rights to use or interact with the software beyond passive viewing, where explicitly permitted by the publisher. Restrictions The following actions are strictly prohibited without prior, explicit, written permission from the publisher: - Copying, reproducing, or duplicating the software or any portion thereof - Modifying, adapting, translating, or creating derivative works based on the software - Distributing, publishing, transmitting, or making the software available to any third party - Sublicensing, selling, renting, leasing, or otherwise transferring rights to the software - Reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the software, except where expressly permitted by applicable law - Removing, altering, or obscuring any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices within the software - Using the publisher's name, brand, or trademarks in connection with any product, service, or promotional material Enforcement Any violation of this licence constitutes copyright infringement and may be subject to civil and criminal penalties under applicable law. The publisher reserves the right to seek injunctive relief, damages, and any other remedies available at law or in equity. The publisher's failure to enforce any provision of this licence shall not be construed as a waiver of their right to enforce that provision at a later date. Contact and Permissions To request a separate usage, commercial, or distribution agreement, users must contact the publisher directly. VTX Games serves only as a distribution platform and is not responsible for negotiating or granting permissions on behalf of any publisher. VTX Open Licence VTX-OPEN · Version 1.0 · 29 June 2026 Preamble The VTX Open Licence (VTX-OPEN) is a maximally permissive, unrestricted licence designed for publishers who wish to release their software into the public domain equivalent under this registry. It places no conditions, restrictions, or obligations on users, developers, or distributors of any kind. This licence is appropriate for tools, libraries, templates, and projects where the publisher wishes to contribute freely to the community and allow others to use the work however they see fit — including for commercial purposes, with no requirement to give credit, share modifications, or notify the publisher. Publishers choosing this licence acknowledge that by applying VTX-OPEN, they are granting the broadest possible set of rights to all users and that these rights are irrevocable once the licence is applied to a distributed version of the software. Copyright Notice Copyright (c) 2026 — Original Publisher, distributed via VTX Games (vtxgames.co.uk). Rights granted freely under the VTX Open Licence. Definitions "Software" refers to all source code, compiled binaries, assets, documentation, configuration files, and any other files contained within or distributed alongside the licensed repository. Grant of Rights Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person or organisation obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files, to deal in the software without restriction. This grant is worldwide, royalty-free, irrevocable, and perpetual for the duration of the applicable copyright term. The rights granted herein include, without limitation: - The right to use the software for any purpose, including commercial and proprietary applications - The right to copy, reproduce, and distribute the software in its original or modified form - The right to modify, adapt, translate, and create derivative works based on the software - The right to sublicense the software and derivative works to third parties under any terms - The right to sell, rent, lease, or otherwise commercialise the software or derivative works - The right to incorporate the software into larger works, products, or services without restriction Conditions None. This licence places no conditions, obligations, or requirements upon the user. No attribution, copyright notice, share-alike clause, or notification to the publisher is required. Users are free to use the software entirely as they see fit. No Endorsement This licence does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, service marks, or product names of the publisher or VTX Games, except as required for reasonable and customary use in describing the origin of the software. Nothing in this licence shall be construed as an endorsement by the publisher of any product or service. Disclaimer of Warranty THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. VTX Attribution Licence VTX-ATTR · Version 1.0 · 29 June 2026 Preamble The VTX Attribution Licence (VTX-ATTR) is a permissive licence that grants broad freedoms to users, including the right to use, modify, distribute, and commercialise the software, subject to a single condition: that credit is given to the original publisher in any publicly distributed or commercially sold product. This licence is appropriate for publishers who wish to share their work openly and allow others to build upon it — including commercially — while ensuring that their contribution is acknowledged. Attribution ensures that the original publisher receives recognition for their work, even when that work has been significantly adapted or incorporated into a new product. Publishers choosing this licence understand that they are granting broad rights and that the only protection they retain is the right to be credited. They waive all other rights and restrictions described under VTX-PROP. Copyright Notice Copyright (c) 2026 — Original Publisher, distributed via VTX Games (vtxgames.co.uk). Use, modification, and distribution permitted with attribution. Definitions "Software" refers to all source code, compiled binaries, assets, documentation, configuration files, and any other files contained within or distributed alongside the licensed repository. "Publisher" refers to the original author or rights holder who has applied this licence to their software. "User" refers to any individual, organisation, or entity that accesses, downloads, uses, modifies, or distributes the software. "Derivative Work" refers to any software, product, or service that incorporates, adapts, extends, or is substantially based upon the software or any portion thereof. "Attribution" refers to a clearly visible credit to the original publisher, accessible to end users of the product in which the software is used. Grant of Rights Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person or organisation obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files, to deal in the software with broad permissions, subject to the attribution condition described below. The rights granted include: - The right to use the software for any purpose, including commercial and proprietary applications - The right to copy, reproduce, and distribute the software in its original or modified form - The right to modify, adapt, translate, and create derivative works based on the software - The right to sell, distribute, or commercially exploit the software or any derivative work - The right to sublicense derivative works to third parties, provided the attribution condition is passed on Attribution Condition The above copyright notice, the name of the original publisher, and this permission notice shall be included in all copies or substantial portions of the software. In any product, service, or application that is distributed publicly or commercially and that incorporates or is derived from this software, the original publisher must be credited in a location that is clearly visible and accessible to end users. Acceptable forms of attribution include, but are not limited to: - An "About" page, credits screen, or settings panel within the product - A README or documentation file distributed alongside the product - A credits section on the product's public website or store listing - Any other location deemed reasonably accessible to an ordinary end user The attribution must include the publisher's name or handle as listed in the original repository. Generic statements such as "built with open source software" are not sufficient to satisfy this condition. No Share-Alike This licence does not require derivative works or modified versions to be released under this same licence. Users may apply any licence of their choosing to their derivative works, provided the attribution condition described above is satisfied. No Endorsement This licence does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, or service marks of the publisher or VTX Games in any promotional material in a way that implies endorsement of any product or service without prior written consent. VTX Evolve Licence VTX-EV · Version 1.0 · 29 June 2026 Preamble The VTX Evolve Licence (VTX-EV) is a copyleft-adjacent, source-sharing licence designed to ensure that improvements made to software licensed under it are returned to the public. It grants broad freedoms — including the right to commercialise, rebrand, and profit from the software — with a single core obligation: if you publicly distribute a modified or improved version of the software, you must publish your source code improvements openly under this same licence. The philosophy behind VTX-EV is simple: the ecosystem improves when improvements are shared. Publishers who choose this licence believe that open collaboration benefits everyone, while still recognising that contributors deserve the right to build commercial products and retain their revenue. Unlike traditional copyleft licences, VTX-EV does not require you to open-source your entire product, your branding, your infrastructure, or any proprietary systems that are not derived from the original software. Only the improvements made to the licensed code itself must be made publicly available. Your product remains yours. Your brand remains yours. Your revenue remains yours. Only the code improvements must be shared. This licence is appropriate for publishers who want their tools and libraries to remain open and collectively improved, while allowing a healthy commercial ecosystem to develop around them. Copyright Notice Copyright (c) 2026 — Original Publisher, distributed via VTX Games (vtxgames.co.uk). Use and commercialisation permitted. Modified source code must be published under VTX-EV. "Modified Version" refers to any version of the software in which the source code, logic, or functionality has been altered, extended, or improved in any way relative to the version originally obtained. "Public Distribution" refers to any act of making the software or a Modified Version available to one or more third parties, whether freely, commercially, via a repository, app store, website, API, or any other channel. "Source Code Improvements" refers to any changes, additions, bug fixes, optimisations, or extensions made to the original source code of the software that are present in a publicly distributed Modified Version. "Commercial Use" refers to any use of the software or a derivative thereof in connection with a product, service, or activity from which revenue is derived, directly or indirectly. Grant of Rights Permission is hereby granted, free of charge, to any person or organisation obtaining a copy of this software and associated documentation files, to deal in the software with broad permissions, subject to the source-sharing condition described below. The rights granted include: - The right to use the software for any purpose, including commercial and proprietary applications - The right to copy, reproduce, and distribute the software in its original or modified form - The right to modify, adapt, improve, and extend the software - The right to sell, distribute, or commercially exploit products built upon or incorporating the software - The right to retain your own branding, product name, and commercial identity - The right to keep all commercial revenue generated by your product - The right to sublicense the software to third parties, provided this licence is passed on Source-Sharing Condition If you create a Modified Version of this software and distribute it publicly or commercially, you must publish the Source Code Improvements publicly under this same VTX-EV licence. The following requirements apply to the source-sharing obligation: - Source Code Improvements must be made publicly available no later than the date on which the Modified Version is first distributed publicly or commercially - The published source code must be accessible without cost, registration, or restriction to any member of the public - The published source code must be accompanied by this licence, clearly identifying it as being released under VTX-EV - A public repository, such as those hosted on GitHub, GitLab, or an equivalent platform, is an acceptable method of publication - The published source code must include all modifications made to the original software, not merely a subset thereof This condition applies only to Source Code Improvements — changes made directly to the licensed software. It does not require you to open-source any of the following: - Your product's own proprietary code that is not derived from or a modification of the licensed software - Your product's branding, design, or creative assets - Your infrastructure, deployment configuration, or internal tooling - Any third-party software or libraries used alongside the licensed software - Your product's commercial, financial, or business logic Licence Propagation Any publicly distributed Modified Version of this software must include this licence in full. Recipients of the Modified Version receive the same rights and are subject to the same source-sharing condition as the original user. This licence may not be replaced, supplemented, or waived in any distribution of the software or a Modified Version thereof. Private Use The source-sharing condition is triggered only by Public Distribution. Users who modify the software for private use, internal use within a single organisation, or without distributing the Modified Version to any third party are not required to publish their Source Code Improvements. No Endorsement This licence does not grant permission to use the trade names, trademarks, or service marks of the publisher or VTX Games in any promotional material in a way that implies endorsement of any product or service without prior written consent. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR COPYRIGHT HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.
